 Christian
Country, has quite a few wonderful artists and some of them "Stand Out" above
others. Bill Adkins, from Hilliard, Ohio, is one of those!,Bill, was raised in Church by Godly parents, and he was saved in 1975, as he grew, the Lord blessed him with lots of talent on playing several different instruments and songwriting capabilities. But as some young men do, he left his first "calling" and started playing in nightclubs local bars and he also fronted quite a few Top Country Artists. But God, had other directions and plans for him, and in 1999 while living in Columbus, Ohio, he met the lady, that God had planned for him by the name of Teresa. So with that encounter, his life drastically began to change as she was "God's Earthly Angel" on assignment for Bill!!. Through this encounter, eventually Bill, gave and dedicated his life and whole being back to God. Bill, started writing Gospel songs, with a purpose and meaning behind them. Bill, has written over 650 songs. The Holy Spirit, was directing everything he did from that re-dedication of his life back to God!. Bill, has been blessed with a wonderful and supportive family, of not only a wife, but beautiful children as well. He finally came in contact with an exceptional record producer by the name of Gene Higgins, who has spent most of his life in Gospel Music and with this meeting, he placed a song on one of HMG, Gene's record company's compilation CD's by the title "Jesus Reached Down" in June of 2007 and the rest has become history. Bill's songs, are constantly in the charts nationally as well as world wide. Currently "Jesus Reached Down, is number 44 in the Power Source Christian Charts for March 2008 and it has a potential of still climbing!. Bibletones Quartet of Florence, South Carolina, are still carrying on

Last but certainly not least is the low down Bass singer and one of the finest today is Darryl Morris who has been married to Sherry for 16 years and they have been blessed with a son named Pierce. | Shelton Bissell | |
 Shelton
has played "a little bit of everything at one time or another" since
turning pro at the age of 15, but the label of "Country & Gospel Sax"
feels just fine to him. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 24, 1941, Shelton was introduced to the Alto Saxophone at the age of 9 by his 4th grade "traveling music teacher." "When I came home and announced to my folks I wanted to learn to play the saxophone, Mother rode the trolley... they were electric then ...downtown where she bought my first alto in a pawn shop for $50, then took it to the music store and paid another $25 to have it overhauled. I played that horn for 6 years before my folks plunked down $325 for a King Super 20 Alto and I turned pro at the age of 15 in 1956. I ended up playing that horn for 32 years... until it was stolen in a burglary on the morning of the day before I was to move to Nashville from Houston, Texas." "I'm actually a product of the first Rock generation, starting out in the late 50's with the Dale Hawkins band. Dale was the writer/artist of "Suzie Q" and it became a big hit for him on Chess Records out of Chicago. That band produced some phenomenal musicians, including James Burton (Elvis' lead guitar), famed blues guitarist Roy Buchanan, Billy Sanford (Nashville "A-Team" studio guitarist), and Joe Osborne (west coast "premier" studio bassman). "Straight out of high school I left Shreveport for Lake Charles, Louisiana where I met Mickey Gilley and joined his band as his first Sax man. In 1960 Mickey brought me to Houston where we worked the "Ranch House Club" and did a lot of recording. Throughout the 60's I worked with many bands of all types in Southeast Texas. "I studied at the Houston Conservatory of Music and received my Bachelor of Music degree in 1964, then went into business as an arranger-conductor-producer. Over the next 20 years I was involved in just about every facet of the music business. I had a demo recording studio and got into publishing, artist management, and finally an entertainment booking agency. "During the 80's I got involved in the world of personal computers and finally came to Nashville in 1989 to put it all together. I developed a computer program for music publishers (Music Publishing Executive) and it has been used by some of the Music Row's top publishers. "I have to say that 1999-2001 with the "Strait Gate" Southern Gospel group were the most enjoyable and rewarding of all my years because I was finally playing for the Lord ... something I should have been doing long ago. My first Gospel Sax album, "Hymns Of The Faith", launched a solo career which we are continuing to build with our new project, "Country Gospel Sax". "Music has been in my blood for many, many years now, and I look forward for every opportunity to play my horn ...whether it be in the studio or on stage. "The Lord has indeed blessed me with my beautiful wife Kathleen, daughter, daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren. We are members of Tri-County Baptist Church in White House." Shelton also pursued a long career in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired in 1994 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Infantry. He is truly a multi-faceted person ... but most of all, his soul speaks to you through his sax. Chosen Ones make their home in Manchester, a small farming community
in west central Illinois, about 65 miles north of St. Louis, MO.
The group consists of three families in one. The Rueter family;
Mike, Melanie, Mariah, Brady & Tressa. The Cooper family; (Melanie’s
brother) Randy, Abby,& Blake and Randy & Melanie’s parents; Neal
& Shirley Cooper. (Randy’s wife Becky & son, Jordan, stay home to
work in our home church.)The Chosen Ones were organized in 1974 proclaiming the gospel in song throughout Illinois and surrounding states. To complete their desire of ministering to the entire family, a puppet ministry was added in 1979. Randy is the puppeteer and has a true gift in working with all ages and a great sense of humor that brings everyone to laughter, while the message stands strong and true to God’s word. From Sunday school rallies to concert halls, regular worship services, revivals, bible schools, conventions, picnics and fairs, the message doesn’t change. Hearts are touched and Christians are encouraged as this family shares through music, a progressive southern gospel style, the gospel of Jesus Christ. and Christina are a beautiful husband/wife Ministry team from
Lake Village, Indiana.They not only know how to sing and perform, they play several different instruments as well. They are much more than entertainers, they are a committed Ministry team as well with one purpose in mind and that is to be vessels and used of God!. On January 5, 2006, they were happily married and deeply in love and their love for God became stronger and more solid. The Holy Spirit, leads them in all things in their individual lives and Ministry!.  David
and Gwen Barton met Dottie Hodges in October 2001, while pastoring
Dottie’s home church in Willacoochee, Georgia. In June 2002,
David and Gwen moved to Talbotton, Georgia, to pastor churches
in that area. By this time, Dottie had lost her husband to
a terminal illness he had battled for 15 years.David had always enjoyed singing, as had Dottie. After a few months of visiting David and Gwen, Dottie purchased a second residence in Talbotton so she could be near, as she calls them, her best pals, Gwen and David. As their friendship grew, so did David’s and Dottie’s passion for singing what they call ‘God’s music.’ David has always had a flair for song writing. As time passed, David and Dottie worked together as a singing team with Gwen as their sound director and advisor. As the burning passion for ministering through God’s music grew evermore intense, David began writing more and more gospel songs. Eventually, God brought David, Dottie, and Gwen to Daywind Studios to record this project which their producer, Johnny Sansom, suggested they call Beginnings. Everyone agreed Beginnings was the perfect name since this was to be the first of many in their music ministry for God. Their "hearts desire and prayer to God" is not only for Israel to be saved, (Romans 10:1), but as many as the Lord their God will put in their paths.  Cal
first started on Bass Guitar, and was taught by his Grandmother
Hildred Hall, who was a great Pianist. "I would walk to
Grandma's house every day after school for a Bass Guitar
lesson, and Grandma had no mercy, and I would play the same
notes over, and over again until she thought it was perfect.
It was a small price to pay for insight from someone at
her level". Cal started playing guitar at age 11 after hearing an album of Dwayne Friend, "Dwayne Friend Picks Happy Goodman Hits". Cal soon discovered the music of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed and instantly fell in love with the Chet Atkin's style of playing. Cal went on to travel with Dwayne Friend at age 15 and later produced and played lead and steel guitar on several Dwayne Friend albums. Dwayne even moved to Cal's hometown so the two could work together and produce a TV show for one season together "That's Gospel". 1997 Gold Cross Instrumentalist Of The Year, Cal has traveled with, CMA nominated Rich McCready (Winner of TNN Video of the Century “Hangin’ On”) The Helmsmen, Gospel Lads, Multiple Dove Award Winner Dwayne Friend, And produced and played on over 400 albums including Grammy Award Winner Jody Miller and Dwayne Friend. Cal produced a one hour TV show for two years “Music Of The Midwest” featuring national and regional talent including Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Perfect Stranger, Grammy winner Jody Miller, Dove winner Dwayne Friend, The Hemphills, Les Gilliam, Byron Berline and some of the worlds greatest finger style guitarists . The show aired World wide over The Global Broadcast Network, Dish Network, and Direct TV and was viewed by millions of people around the world. Cal’s instrumental music has been used for numerous national and regional TV and radio programs and documentaries as theme music, including The Lohman Game Calls nationally syndicated radio program The Christian Sportsman, Christian Country Today, and The Great Plains Review. TV documentaries include The Waco Incident, and Ruby Ridge. Cal has taught and performed at the annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention in Nashville Tennessee. I have known Cal for a number of years and found him to be one of the greatest instrumentalists that ever graced a Concert Stage. I have heard some great ones over the years...but Cal by far, is the best and my favorite. It was based in Blackwell, Oklahoma. It was a terrific monthly publication. John Denison, was the CEO and Publisher. John, poured his heart and soul into this magazine and strived very hard to have nothing short of quality in each issue. There were other talented gospel writers from all over the country that contributed to the monthly issues too.  Once
in a great while a Family Gospel Singing group, comes
down the gospel pike, that quickly gains your attention
and respect not only for their Vocal abilities, Musicianship
but for their "God Called and "Anointed" Ministry as well!.

Wendy, was a Michigan Wolverine fan...but this time and at this concert...she became a "fan" of Jim's and as God had it planned, a long distant relationship of several months...finally in 1988, God joined Jim and Wendy in Holy Matrimony and a "Camelot" marriage and Music Ministry was set in motion!. Yes, Jim grew up in Amarillo, Texas so this had to be of God's doing, no doubt about it!!. Getting a TEXAN and WOLVERINE in a long distant relationship and and into a beautiful Marriage and having beautiful Children and wonderful Ministry today...Yes, no doubt, that God, was in it from the very Beginning!!. They have recorded several projects thru the years with their latest being "There Came Mercy" and they will be releasing a New Project in June 2008, entitled "Front Porch Memories" which will be a fantastic project. a Multi- Talented and "Exceptional" Lady Singer and

She has led the Women's Aglow International Women's Ministry as Praise and Worship leader in Danbury, for 3 years. She has also shared her tremendous Testimony on Trinity Broadcasting "Live" in Poughkeepsie, New York. Recently, she was accepted as an "Independent" Artist for the world wide organization "Compassion International", an that is a great honor for Barbara. Barbara, has written over 400 songs under the direction of the Holy Spirit and she put music to "The Lord's Prayer" which is just awesome in it's own right!.
